As time moves so do our parts rearrange themselves. Jo, you appear to winning the battle against time.

Nan, you also get kudos. Without the dream she is fairly ordinary. I don't expect the reader to completely understand it, only to be curious of its meaning. As the story progresses the dream is very symbolic.
Joe is Bubba-esque...not far removed from myself, his character comes easy. Your comment about food that smiles reminds me of the duck in the Christmas Story.
Have a good weekend, ladies. The dream gives me hope for her [grin]. Even though I couldn't bear a pig roast, either... :( (I eat meat, mind you, but nothing that's still *smiling* or looking at me fgs... LOL)

I don't have much sense of where this is going, though, although perhaps it's too soon.

If you are into the "Craft of writing" type books, I bet you'd enjoy Christopher Vogler's "The Writer's Journey"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-921323834562941074.post-68631682823964020652009-09-08T10:00:18.941-05:002009-09-08T10:00:18.941-05:00Interesting story Dan, at first I wasn't sure ...Interesting story Dan, at first I wasn't sure if Becky was a child lurking in the shadows, seemed to take awhile to get to the part of her being with her husband!

I like the descriptives of Joe's character, and like your ending, makes you want to read on! not sure I liked the part of the sagging breast, maybe cause I'm a woman! lol!
