As the story progredded,...Dan, I like this as well. As the story progredded, you gave us hints as to what lie ahead without hitting us over the head with the outcome. Also, I loved the visceral treatment of the car and its sounds... it shows your real-world experience driving just such as car. I know because immediately upon returning from Vietnam, while still in southern Cal, I bought a '69 Oldsmobile 442 with 5-speed Hurst and over-sized cam. Of course, I'll never forget the sound of the glasspacks nor the feeling of the G-forces that set me back in my seat every time I punched it. It also goes without saying that I blew up the engine on I-5 and ended up losing my ass, but it was worth it. <BR/><BR/>Good job!
